Join us for the first-ever James River State Park Roof Top Tent Rally on Oct. 20-22. This two night camping experience will highlight the Overlander life style of camping in a Roof Top Tent.

Roof Top Tents are rapid deploying tents that mounts on top of a vehicle. Ground tents are welcome, for this is a great opportunity to see the benefits of Roof Top Tents and learn some tricks of the Overlander trade.  Visit with experienced Overlanders during our lecture and demonstrations to learn how to plan safe and adventurous overland trips. Visit with our local venders and sponsors, such as Blue Ridge Overland Gear and Mountain State Overland, to see some of the newest gear on the market. 

While you are there take some time to enjoy the park. Explore the park while hiking or mountain biking on one of our 22 miles of trails. Enjoy activates at the Fall Festival and 5K night run on Saturday.  

Registration is $40 and pre-registration is $20 per camping unit.  Check-in begins on Friday October 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. and check-out is Sunday October 22 at 2 p.m. For more information or to register, please call the park at 434-933-8527.
